70 Ranch Pottery
Handmade, wheel thrown
pottery with a country touch
The 70 Ranch is a working cattle ranch located in
south eastern Oregon. The pottery is a combination
hobby and part time business that began in the mid
1970's as a creative escape from the demands of two
small children and helping on the ranch.
Most of the pottery is functional, glazed with lead free
glazes and fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. Custom
brands can be added to a variety of pieces but
usually are found on mugs, bowls and/or platters. The
base colors are natural or off white with accents of
brown, green or red.
Locally, the pottery is displayed at "A Country Home
Floral". Custom pieces may be ordered by phone or
email. Pottery is also displayed and sold at the annual
"Holiday Fair" held at the Lake County Fairgrounds
each year the first weekend in December.
